ABAC Presents! Valdosta Symphony Orchesta

Maestro Edward Cumming, former music director of the Hartford Symphony and former resident conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony, will be the guest conductor of the VSO in a special concert featuring Berlioz’s theatrical and feverish masterpiece Symphonie Fantastique. Infatuated with the Irish actress Harriet Smithson, Berlioz was inspired to compose this startlingly original work. Heidi Van Hoesen Gorton, acclaimed principal harpist with the Toronto Symphony, will perform Gliere’s enchanting Harp Concerto.
